DRIVER, Harvey Allan -

Passed away in the company of his family on Saturday February 10, 2018 at the age of 92. Loving husband of Bernice Driver for 62 years. Devoted father of Lorraine Versluis (late Edward). Cherished grandfather of Steven Versluis and John Versluis (Amanda) and proud great-grandfather of William and Ava. Harvey was predeceased by his parents Wilbert and Adeline as well as his siblings; Edna, Grace, Stella, Les and Stan. He was a veteran serving in both WWII (Air Force) and the Korean War (Army) and a member of the Bronte Legion Branch 486. Harvey retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1990 after more than 35 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent countless evenings and weekends at his grandsons' sporting events. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Private Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON, (905-632-3333), on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 12 noon until the Service of Remembrance, which will commence at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Private Interment for immediate family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harvey’s memory to Palermo United Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
