Dear Coach Simon,
I don't know what to say there are so many things I can thank you for let me start with soccer. When nobody else could take us you were the first one to step in and you are the reason we are still a team. Secondly all the times we spent together, when we went on vacation and you would use your money that you worked hard for and buy us something and whether it's food or expensive gifts like shoes no matter the cost you bought it. I think of you as a second dad and I am in tears when I didnt see you and I wish none of this happened. There are so much more things we could have done with you I really really do miss you. You treated me perfectly I felt like your son you were welcoming,caring,respectful and a great man. I love you and miss you.

August 22, 2009. A 14 year old is dragged to the dance floor by some older person who has no idea who she is. Out of nowhere, Simon intervenes, and saves the day. That was the beginning of the greatest bromance I’ve ever had. Countless vacations, endless stories. You gave me my first (and second, and third) beers. Always annoying my dad by calling me son. I genuinely can go on and on.
The past month has been some of the hardest times in my life. It is absolutely cruel how things had to end. But I will continue to be strong not just for you, but your loving wife Ceri and two boys Ethan and Landon. Rest In Peace “Dad” 🥃
