Obituary for Lucjan Gilas
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Janina. Loving father of Maria Robak (Mariusz) and the late Jan. Cherished Dziadek of Michael, David, Samantha, Martin and Monica. Dear brother of Stefania Habza and Bernadeta Malec. Predeceased by siblings Bronistawa Korczak and Stanislaw Gilas. Missed also by his cousins in Canada and Poland. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with Rosary at 3 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Polish Church, 8 St. Ann Street, Hamilton on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery, Mud Street, Stoney Creek. If desired, memorial contributions to St. Stanislaus Elevator Fund would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
