Condolences

Condolence From: Cathy Lanc
Condolence: My thoughts are for John's children. I knew your dad in the 70's and 80's. Of the most important men in my life, your dad was right up there with my husband and my dad. He was man of great heart and a huge sense of adventure, which was great for me because I was his ride or die buddy,( sometimes almost literally).
Music was passion we shared, accompanied with rides in the wilderness.
As you know, he had his demons and they were something we talked about in the years that we hung together. John always thought he would move on to the next life by the time he was 35- so maybe his live fast, die hard attitude was because of that. I am so glad he lived until he raised you both and your sister. That was for him the very best purpose for a life.
Remember good times- because that's what I do and I know you have many to remember! He's checking in on you so don't feel lost.

Condolence: "Uncles are like dads, only cooler" And that you were. You treated me like your own with so many extra perks. There were no boundaries to your love and support and the thought of my weeks without seeing you are unimaginable. So many things will never be the same without you but that's just because you made everything so special that so many things in our lives aren't the same because we had you.
We will all pull together and make sure that, the strength you were to us all, we will lend to each other.
I would give anything to hear your laugh (ha ha ssssttt) or feel your hugs one last time.
Love you for always big guy xoxo

Condolence: I always thought we would grow old together, playing crib, doing crossword puzzles, and watching scary movies. I feel robbed of that opportunity. I could always come to you knowing I would be helped without judgment, and loved beyond belief. Your hugs grounded me and made me feel safe. Please continue to watch over me. Much love from your big sister xo

Condolence: I and many of my colleagues at the City of Toronto were very sad to hear of John's passing. John was a man who could cut through the crap and didn't suffer fools. I appreciate and value the time we had together.

My condolences,

Leslie

Condolence: What are the words that I should use to say just how much your life touched everyone who lives and works at OWN. You came to us just when we needed you. Your gentle leadership has left us with a very healthy place to call home. You treated each one of us individually, without judgement and lead us into the future that you have made for us. Until the end you took care of us.
To say that we will miss you is an understatement. We will miss your smile, your unwavering patience and outstanding leadership skills. Each of us has a story about you John. You were so loved and will be in our memories forever.
You left a legacy and it will be a very difficult task to find someone as wonderful as you were.
And from me, I thank you for being part of my life. You taught me so much and I will remember you all the days of my life. You have made me want to become "the best" version of myself and to try to achieve just a portion of what you became in your very short but full, life.
Lynn

Condolence: To Mrs. Lovell, Joanne and Karen,
I feel so much empathy for you all. It is heartbreaking for John to have left this earth so soon. I know how much you will miss him and I know from 40 years ago how much he loved and respected you.
To John's children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
As I told my son, when his dad passed away this past summer, "Your dad has given you all the skills you need to make your way in the world." With time, you will remember all the great times and smile, instead of grieving as you are now.

Condolence: Here at Own Co-op we are bereft and in disbelief. John has left us. His expertise and kindness worked on our rehabilitation. John was strong and gentle; and had a great sense of humour; we miss him. Condolences to all his loved ones.

Condolence: I have been blessed by having known you. Your amazing sense of humor, your laugh and your jokes (usually poking fun at me) make every difficult moment or stressful time worth having. A true gentleman, friend, colleague and boss. Rest in peace my friend.
