Passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Delores for 52 years. Cherished father of Joanne Murray (David Gauthier). Adored grandfather of Rachel. Richard will be missed by his siblings Bertha and Leonard. He is predeceased by his siblings Jeanette, Evette, Ernie, and Edgar.

The family wish to thank the intensive care team at Joseph Brant Hospital and the paramedic team for their compassion and care.


Visitation will be held at Smith’s Funeral Home (1167 Guelph Line, Burlington (905) 632-3333) on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 6:00-9:00pm. Private family cremation. For those who wish, donations to Bladder Cancer Canada would be appreciated by the family.
