Dear father of Kristine Coffin (Phil), Bob (Mandi), Jeff (Heather), Brian (Kelly), Kevin (Callie), Kris (Leah), and Andrew (Heather). Devoted grandpa "papa" to 13 grandchildren. Survived by his sister Anne, sister-in-law Arlene and brother-in-law Dave. Ernie was involved in the reinforcing steel industry. Involved in projects including the Rogers Centre, First Ontario Place, the CN Tower and Hibernia (NFLD). Owner of Jay Reinforcing Steel before retiring. Past chairman of the negotiating committee for Ironworkers. Ernie coached hockey and baseball for over 40 years and sat on the executive board for the Flamborough Hockey Association. He loved the family cottage and boat, and spending time there with family and friends. Ernie loved traveling to Barbados with all his friends.
