CARSON, Julia (nee Nowacki) -

Passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Village of Tansley Woods Nursing Home in Burlington on Monday, December 18, 2017 at the age of 90. Predeceased by her parents Ignacy and Josephine Nowacki (nee Saltarski). Also predeceased by her husband Irving Charles “Kit” Carson (2007). Cherished mother of Cathy Croskery (Russ), and the late Louise Schmalz, and dear stepmother of Bob Carson (Dianne) and the late Patricia Murray. Proud grandmother of Caitlin and Connor Croft and Nicholas and Nathan Croskery. Devoted sister of John Nowacki (Bonnie) and sister-in-law of Joan Nowacki. Predeceased by sister Helen Davidson, brother Joseph Nowacki and sister-in-law Leah Nowacki. Julia will sadly be missed by extended family, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends. Thank you to the staff at Tansley Woods for loving and caring for Julia. Her amazing whistle will be fondly remembered by everyone in the Village. As per her wishes, Private Cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Kingdom Hall (4025 Mainway, Burlington), on Monday January 8, 2018 at 7:30pm. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Julia’s memory to the Diabetes Association, the Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
