Passed away peacefully at Lanark Heights Long Term Care in Kitchener on Friday, December 15, 2017, in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Maria. Cherished father of Albert (Melissa), Nelly, Ben (the late Debbie) and Carla (Phil). Beloved grandfather of Liam, Nicholas and Angela. Barend will also be missed by his extended family in Holland. The Funeral Service will be held at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 10 Mountain Street, Grimsby, on Thursday, December 21, 2017, at 11 a.m. Private family interment at Grimsby Mountain Cemetery.
