Condolence: Reflections of my beloved Aunt Suzanne Walduda I always remember how enthusiastic Suzanne was for Holidays. She really was into elaborately decorating her house for Christmas and scaring half the neighborhood at Halloween. We were all so happy when we would gather at Garry and Suzanne to get some fancy Gourmet cooking. You could never predict what extravagant meal was going to be served but you know it was going to be tasty she was a fantastic chef. Suzanne was also a practical joker. I recall a group of us being summoned by Suzanne “the ring leader” who had all the supplies to tape up and spray graffiti all over the groom’s car at a wedding we were at. I vividly remember looking at Suzanne while we were performing her dirty work, and she was laughing harder than anyone else there, I could tell she thoroughly enjoyed pulling that prank. Oh by the way Sorry Rolf. “Great Memory”. Suzanne always had dogs and more than 1 at times. Although it may seem unusual to comment, I think that this is so important to tell of a person’s character when they have connections with animals. You could tell she loved her dogs. Suzanne always supported her family. I will never forget as a youth playing hockey, sometimes we would play in Burlington and Suzanne Garry and kids would always come to watch. I was glad to see them but more importantly I knew we would be going over to their house afterwards for those famous dinners I was talking about. It was obvious Suzanne was very compassionate towards people, and later on in her life she rallied around missing kids, missing persons. She would often post news on social media when a child or person was missing, I do not think most people would take the time to communicate and share but she was obviously very passionate around these occurrences. The memory I will most cherish about Suzanne was savoring the moments with her family. The last time we were together Suzanne and Garry traveled through a snow storm with freezing rain to gather in Orangeville with our family. We had a tremendous visit and it was getting late, Gary had started the vehicle but could not get Susanne to leave, I think it was about an hour later that she decided that enough stories and laughs were had and she was ready to go. It was a fantastic visit. I really got a sense from her interactions with her kids, grand kids and nieces, nephews and cousins that life is precious and we really need to deeply value the time we share together. We will all miss your passion for life!! Love your nephew Kevin O’Neill

Condolence: Suzanne walked this earth the way it should be walked. She acknowledged everyone. Always taking time to compliment and flash her beautiful smile, which was a gift in itself. She cared so deeply for those that were lucky enough to have been in her sphere on any given day. Suzanne wasn’t afraid to put herself out there. Her view may not have necessarily been shared by who she was with at any particular time, but it was her view, usually well founded. She loved fun, friends, strangers, animals - the world in general - but most of all, she adored, Garry (or as only Suzanne could say it - “Garreee”), Kristen, Renee and Andrew. Her love for them and her pride in them was monumental. The best cheerleader a person could have. I know I shall miss her every day of my life and we are all better people because she spread her joy with life as she lived it. May we all do the same in memory of her.
