It is with heavy hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of Ilona at her home, surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the age of 68. Beloved wife and life long friend of Dezso "Dez" for over 51 years. Loving mother of Timea (David) and Tom (Sandra). Cherished grandmother of Alexander, Miguel, Evan and Trevor. Dear sister of Klari Pitvor. Special thanks to Dr. Barnfield, the staff and doctors of the Juravinski Cancer Centre and the CCAC for their sincere care and compassion. Ilona was a very loving person with an exceptional curiosity for life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A Funeral Service will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Private Family Graveside to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
