Philip John  Polowick
Peacefully at McNally House, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, after a brief but determined fight against glioblastoma. We rejoice that Phil is now with his Lord. Devoted husband of Linda (nee Tindall). Loved father of Jonathan Polowick (Heather) and Jared Polowick (Michelle). Cherished grandfather of John Edward, Samuel and Elisabeth. Dear son of John and the late Wilma Polowick and brother of Eloise Williscroft (Dave), Sharon Pfaff (Harold) and Mary Anne Patterson (Jim). Brother-in-law of Janet Tindall, Jim Tindall (Tracey) and Bert Tindall. Fun loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Phil taught at Grimsby Secondary School and South Lincoln High School for over 30 years. He loved his students and teaching business classes. He coached Jonathan and Jared's soccer teams and volunteered with kids groups at Centennial Park Baptist Church. He loved entertaining at family gatherings, visits from friends and opened our home to many people. Special thanks to everyone at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital and McNally House for all of your loving care. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place at Centennial Park Baptist, 11 Kennedy Road, Grimsby, on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at 11 a.m. Private interment Goodwood Cemetery at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions to McNally House or Centennial Park Baptist Church would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
