Obituary for Lucille Edna Lawrie (Nelson)

While saddened by our loss, we rejoice in the fact that our dear wife and mother Lucille Edna Lawrie is now in the loving eternal presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, having passed on Friday November 24, 2017. Lucille was born in Saugeen Twp., Bruce County, August 8, 1942, the second child of Howard and Florence Nelson. For over 53 years Lucille has been the beloved wife of Bob, and they together lovingly raised Brad (Kate), Greg (Trina) and Joel. Much adored grandmother of Madison, Abby, Elizabeth, Robert and Matthew and loving sister of Orland Nelson (Marlene) (Calgary, AB) and Sharon McDonald (Allan) (Teeswater, ON). Visitation at Smith’s Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), Burlington (905-632-3333), on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral will be held at Compass Point Bible Church, 1500 Kerns Road, Burlington, on Tuesday November 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, 837 Eastwood Drive, Port Elgin, on Wednesday November 29, 2017, at 1:30pm. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the medical staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Joseph Brant Hospital for their loving and kind care for Lucille in these last few weeks. In lieu of flowers, any donations made to Freedom Village USA Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
