SCHERER, Karoline (nee Sopper) 1935-2017
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother Karoline Scherer at Joseph Brant Hospital after a brief battle of cancer, on November 18, 2017, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late John Scherer (1995) and dear mother to Marianne (Peter) LaBerge, Irene (Jochen)Wenzel, Rita (Glenn) Wilde and John Scherer (Diane Shelley). Will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Michelle (Adam), Andrew (Hillary), Eric, Laura (Jesse), Kristen (Jack), Karlie, Sarah (Jacob), and Alex. Great- grandmother to Zoe, Benson, and Felicity. Loving daughter of the late Michael and Christine Sopper. Dear sister to Michael (late Mary) and sister-in-law of the late Peter (late Marie) Scherer, Julianna (late Mile) Yukosav, late Andy (Ingrid) Scherer, and to Elizabeth (late Peter) Waldner. Karoline loved getting together with her entire family during every holiday. She enjoyed socializing with her friends and kept many close friends over the years. She will be greatly missed by all. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 3-5 pm and 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, November 22 at10:30 am at the Funeral Home. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. For those for who wish donations in memory of Mom may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
