Peacefully passed away at Lakeview Retirement Residence, Stoney Creek, on Friday, September 29, 2017 in his 95th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Maria Loreta (1996). Loving father of Michelina Albini (Domenico), Giuseppina Piunno (Nicola), Antonietta Bagnoli (Giovanni). Cherished grandfather of Fabrizio Albini, Lisa Zuccolo (Roberto), Rita Bagnoli, Maria-Rita Albini and Joanne Fortino (Mike). Proud great-grandfather of Alessio, Sofia, Juliana and Evan. Dear brother of the late Antonietta and the late Marietta. Dear brother-in-law of Father Giuseppe Goffredo of Italy, the late Giovannina Fratipietro (late Saverio), and late Giovanni Goffredo (late Concettina). Vince is survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Argentina. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father, a passionate gardener, and a devout worshipper of Santa Benedetta Martire, the Patron Saint of his home town in Italy. He also proudly served his country in World War II. A special thank you to the staff at Lakeview Retirement Residence for their care and compassion.
Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil at 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Of All Souls Roman Catholic Church, 21 Barton Street West, Hamilton, on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Kidney Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
