LUMB, James Henry
Passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington on Friday, September 15, 2017 James Lumb in his 100th year. Beloved husband of the late Marion (nee Livesley) Lumb. Survived by his daughter Judith Skelton-Green (Ron), son Barry (Terry); grandsons, Chad (Janice) and Kevin (Gunther), granddaughters Caroline (Matt) and Tricia; great-grandchildren Eric and Toby; brother Tom (Shirley). Predeceased by his sisters Helen and Mary. Jim, was a longtime employee of Westinghouse, a former RCMP officer, a past Chairman of the Board of the Joseph Brant Hospital, a member of the Burlington Golf and Country Club, a former member of the Burlington Curling Club and active in many community organizations. Private Cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 3:00 - 5:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM where a Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow at the Funeral Home. For those who wish, donations in memory of Jim to either Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation or Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
