Surrounded by the love of his family, God called him home on September 13, 2017 at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, in his 78th year. Loved and cherished by his wife of 50 years, Lynda, and his children Christie (Matt) Alloway, Julie Robinson, and Jamie (Melanie) Robinson. Proudest Poppa to Jace, Jordy, Colby, and Logan. Brian is also survived by his sister Ann and his brother Denis. Predeceased by his brother Peter. His greatest pride and joy was his family. He will be missed by family and friends. Heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors in the ICU for the wonderful care given to him. As Brian was a loyal supporter of Operation Smile and the Heart and Stroke Foundation, memorial donations to these charities, in lieu of flowers would be appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Brian's life will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 10:30am, with visitation beginning at 10am. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
