Obituary for Clifford John "Cliff" Goodall

Clifford John "Cliff"  Goodall
Passed away at The Brant Centre in Burlington, on Saturday, September 9, 2017, in his 91st year. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Marjorie (2014). Father of Karen Peters (Lee Miller) of Hamilton and Geoff Goodall (Heather) of Parksville, B.C. Cherished grandfather of Ryan (Amanda), Riley (Sara), Nikki (Taylor), Torie and Naddy and great-grandfather of Ryan and Braxton. Dear brother of Jerry Goodall (Cathy) and Jay Dahm (Barry) and sister-in-law of Jean Goodall. Predeceased by his brothers Bill and Hugh Goodall and sisters Gladys Burke, Ethel Smith and Donalda Fossum. Cliff was born in Quebec on September 4, 1927 and came to Ontario in 1967. He was a past employee of Dofasco for 11 years. He was the Chair of the Stroke Recovery Association of Ontario for 10 years; Charter member of the Burlington Stroke Recovery Association; Board member of Ontario March of Dimes (1991-2004); Chair of the Burlington City Hall Accessibility Advisory Committee for 8 years and member of East Plains United Church. Cliff was a recipient of the 2002 Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal, the Ontario Senior Achievement Award, the Courage to Come Back Award from the Clark Institute and was the Burlington Senior Citizen of the Year in 2000. Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will take place at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 3 - 8 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions to the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
