Obituary for Margaret Stewart Zuraw (Morgan)

ZURAW, Margaret Stewart
1925-2017
Margaret Zuraw died of cardiac arrest at Joseph Brant Hospital on September 4, 2017. She was 92 years old. We are glad she was able to live at home except for the last few hours of her life.
She was the wife of the late Adam Zuraw (1991) and mother of Anton Zuraw (Nancy), Anita Downie (Paul), Liz Baker and Cathy Zuraw. She was mother in heart to Kathie Rumble.
Mom played an important role in the early lives of her grandchildren; Mark Downie (Denise), Michelle Dean (John), Derek Zuraw, Jeffrey and Matthew Baker, and Nicole, Mackenzie and Kyle Rumble. She was a proud great grand-mother (G.G) to Tara and Nathan Downie, Paxton and Bren Zuraw and Abby and Michael Dean.
Margaret was predeceased by her sisters Mary Morgan, Nessie Robb and Grace Anderson, all of Scotland. Those who would like to honour a woman who tended to put the needs of others ahead of her own can do so by reaching out to someone with an act of kindness, an offer of help, a phone call or a visit to show you care, or a donation in Margaret’s name to St. Christopher’s Anglican Church or a charity of choice.
The family would like to thank the personal care workers from Red Cross Partners, especially Donna. As Mom always said, “I appreciate everything you do for me”. We would also like to acknowledge the important work of the paramedics and the exemplary compassion of the Emergency staff at Joseph Brant. Cremation has taken place, followed by a private family Celebration of Life.
