Passed away at Sunnybrook Health Sciences: Veterans Centre, on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Hope Armstrong for 66 years. Loving father of Ruth (Joanne and Phillip), Randy (Gail) and Christopher (Tracey). Cherished grandfather of Andrew (Tasha), Kirsten (Cyril), Rob (Keshia), Dan (Ashley), Scott and Katie. Proud great grandfather of Aidan, Irelynn, Mackenzie, and Ellie. Bill is predeceased by his sister Marilyn Ruth Tuck and survived by his brother Donald Bruce Armstrong. Bill will be remembered for his passion for hockey, curling, golf, baseball and golf. Bill had a deep love for his family. He was a dedicated employee of Brewers' Warehousing Company for 38 years. He will be greatly missed. A Funeral Service will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), in the Chapel on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 1:00pm. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill can be made to Sunnybrook Health Sciences: Veterans Centre.
