Obituary for Walter Mazur

Walter  Mazur
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 19, 2017 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Olga (2010). Loving father of Beverley Belliveau, Philip (Karen) and Christopher (Lisa). Proud grandfather of Alisha (Richard), Wesley (Sarah), Charlotte (Curtis), Tyler, Ryan, Isabelle and Minda. Cherished great-grandfather of Anna, Sarah, Adam, Nadia, Joseph and Alexander. Dear brother of Anatole, Tillie, Patsy, Nadia, Mary and John. Walter was a master plumber and started his own mechanical contracting company. He was very involved in St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Grimsby. He enjoyed a good game of cribbage, camping in his "Skamper" in the early days, and had a knack for catching Pickerel at the family cottage. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 3-5 and 6-9 p.m. Panachyda at 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby, on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11:30 a.m., with interment to follow at Queen's Lawn Cemetery. A reception will be held in the Parish Hall following the interment. If desired, memorial contributions to the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
