Obituary for Paul Dell

Paul died on August 17, 2017 after living a wonderful life. Leukemia took Paul from us at age seventy-two. Cancer did not succeed in stealing Paul's sense of humour. Lovingly remembering Paul are his wife Judy (nee House); son Jeff and his wife Jackie; daughter Terra Dell Kramer and beloved grandchildren: Sierra, Mackenzie, Preston, Ava and Evan. Predeceased by his parents Anna and Peter Dell and brother Stan (Sheila). Paul is survived by his dear sister Elizabeth Chalupa (Tony) and his nieces and nephews. Also grieving with Judy are her brother Byron House (Donna) plus a supportive circle of family, friends and neighbours. God bless all of you. Paul will be missed by close friends Homer and Marg Smith as well as the fine people he worked with at NCR. Paul was very proud of his Ukrainian heritage and often made cabbage rolls based on his mother's recipe. Paul had an avid interest in aviation and held a pilot's license for many years. Our family treasures the memories made at home and at the cottage plus the opportunites Judy and Paul had to travel and enjoy retirement. Special thanks to Dr. Weatherdon and staff; the pharmacists at Shoppers-Grimsby Square; the staff at McNally House; Juravinski Hospital hematology team; Dr. Wasi at Juravinski Cancer Centre and, for many years, Dr. Gary Benson and Dr. Michael Sullivan. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Cremation has been completed. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 3-5 p.m. at 3 Burgess Drive, Grimsby. Donations appreciated to Juravinski Hospital (Hematology-Oncology Program); Juravinski Cancer Centre; WLMH Auxiliary; McNally House Hospice.

"We've known so much of happiness,
We've had our cup of joy,
And memory is one gift of life
That death cannot destroy."
