Condolence From: Dave Jennings
Condolence: The service is over now and I know we are all grieving, ... but I wondered what would be the best way to honor my best friend. So I will say this, ... I know Paul would understand our sadness, but then he'd probably say, go out and live your life the best way you can, and leave behind a place that is better than it was before. It's okay to shed a tear, but more importantly, to remember to smile, laugh, cherish and support those around us who remain, and know that we will see him again someday. There is no sense, no fairness, no reason that I can fathom for why this happened, far too soon, and to such a great guy. We each must eventually travel the path Paul has already taken, and he will be there to greet us when we do. So I will take comfort in knowing that there are reasons that exist that I am not meant to know. RIP

Condolence From: Michelangelo and La Spina Family
Condolence: My sincere condolences to Peggy, Andrea and Emily, You are the family that welcome me in Canada and I remember very well the Paul’s smile when I arrived at your place. Paul and you all gave me a place to live in this my adventure in Canada. I came here to research in a place very close to the Cline’s family, Vineland. Paul is my first friend in Canada, and I say “is” and not “was”, because I will not find another Paul. A person always open to help with a smile, giving advice, telling stories, asking for your day, listening your stories, offering peanuts, inviting to BBQ, birthdays,... Paul is this kind of person that Story retains forever, because it is impossible to forget a person like Paul. He will stay in our memories forever. I would like to share a few lines from my favorite Valencian singer. He was very ill and he knew that his time was almost over, so he wrote a song about what to do the day he would pass away. He asked to his family and friend to have a great party and celebrate that actually he was not dead he was on vacation waiting people to continue the trip somewhere else. Here the repeated part. Tot ben senzill / Everything very simple i ben alegre. / and very happy. Em creureu mort. / You will think that I’m dead. Jo no hauré mort. / But, I’m not dead. Faré vacances! / I will be on vacation! To find the good words in this situation is very hard! I would like to help you all cheering you up saying something nice, but it is difficult. In English for me is even more difficult. In Italy people say “coraggio!” bravery, in Spain “ánimo!” cheer up! I hope you will find the strength to spend this hard time and don’t forget to count on your family and friends they will help you, they wish to help just ask. My parents and sisters which are with me right now send also their condolences. I’m proud to have met Paul, I will not forget my first Canadian Friend! Rest in peace dear friend!

Condolence: Peggy, Andrea and Emily We are shocked and saddened to hear about sudden passing of Paul, and understand you need time to grieve without everyone calling. Just know we are thinking of you all. There are few people in life that leave such a big impact as Paul did in our lives and the many fond memories in the last 33 years when our paths first crossed. Paul was always asking questions and showed interest in the things we were up to, as we were in your and his adventures. - From the mid-80's working at Chipman for the Summer with Paul as we toured Southern Ontario conducting weed trials. -Getting together through our days at the University of Guelph, even though Paul was a year behind me. -After graduation, he and I taking a vacation to Jack Tar Villages, Bahamas. -He, I and Charlene taking a vacation to Jamaica where many eyebrows were raised of the two guys with the girl. He laughed when we all went rafting down Dunn river and the groups were divided into pairs for the boats..and he got stuck with an older lady but made the best of it. Before the start of the river cruise, declining the 'gentleman' offering to sell him some special weed. -Our many trips to Soundview Orchards in Owen Sound to take care of the Hunny hut and bees. Pplanting 10,000 evergreens on the hill at the farm. And our evening weekend outings in downtown Owen Sound where we met two girls and you caught his eye. The trips to Owen Sound suddenly became more frequent and we know why. -Paul being part of our wedding party, keeping things under control in his usual calm manner. We still enjoy sitting at the cedar picnic table he built for us as a wedding gift. -Spending time with you both on your honeymoon (same flight to different islands). -Although we saw each other less over the years there was always interest in each others lives and I can't say enough how I will miss his friendship, but by no way does that compare to how much you will miss him and how saddened we are for this outcome. A life well lived is reflected in how many people one can touch in a positive way and Paul certainly accomplished this. You are in our thoughts and prayers, as is Paul. RIP dear friend, rest in peace.

Condolence: Paul was a very kind and gentle man and a valued co-worker. Paul always brought a smile to the office. He had a way of finding the good in everyone and every thing even though our job is all about finding fault. He will be dearly missed. My thoughts are with his wife, daughters and family. Sometimes its just not fair. I hope they find a path through the sorrow to a brighter tomorrow.
