Obituary for Kimberly Sue Walker (Asma)

Kimberly Sue Walker (Asma)
WALKER, Kim (nee Asma)
February 23, 1955 - August 7, 2017
Peacefully passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017. Kim loved to work, play and travel with equal passion, though sometimes she said she worked so she could travel. Her creative spirit emerged in everything she did: She sewed her own drapery and suits, decorated her home with artistic style, read trashy novels, and gardened with enthusiasm. She spoiled her dogs like children, and soaked up culture, architecture and sun wherever she traveled. She loved food markets, night markets, and consignment stores and rarely came home empty handed. She collected shoes, silver teapots, travel stories and friends along the way. Kim was the beloved wife of Jeff for 26 years. She was the devoted daughter of Jack and Jean Asma, loving sister of Terry Asma (Katrina), and Rea Asma (Jane), and the cherished aunt of Ryan, Alex, and Jessica. Her strength, enthusiasm and support will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A Memorial Visitation will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 6-9 pm. For those who wish, donations in memory of Kim can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society: Endometrial Cancer Research.
