Cunningham, Marie (nee Wilbur)
It is with profound sadness we share that Marie, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital, on July 31, 2017, at the age of 88. Devoted wife of Jack for 61 years. Loving mother to Barbara (Steve) and Nancy. She will be missed by her sister Beatrice Bearman (the late Dave), brother-in- laws Peter Lampman (the late June) and Fred Rathwell (the late Lena), many nieces and nephews, and by life-long friends John and Mary Begin. Predeceased by her brother Carl Wilbur (Norma) and brothers-in-law Ted Cunningham, Reg (Rose) Cunningham, and Gerry (Thelma) Cunningham. Marie was a devoted longtime fan of the Hamilton Tiger Cats, a season ticket holder for 42 years. Marie, enjoyed going to games with Jack and Nancy. "OSKEE WEE WEE"
The family wish to thank the staff at Amica of Stoney Creek and the nurses and staff at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton, for their care and compassion.
Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, August 8th from 3 - 5 and 7 - 9pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 10:30am with a reception to follow. Cremation has taken place. For those who wish, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
