I became acquainted with June back in 2007 when I worked for the property management firm that managed the apartment where she lived, on Queenston Road in Stoney Creek. June would call the office often with her various concerns, some were valid and I pursued action on her behalf. She was always charming and sweet, in spite of the purpose of her call, which was to complain. She had a lovely English accent. She spoke fondly of her brother who was in UK. I finally met her, I visited her when she was hospitalized. Soon after she could no longer live on her own, which must have awful for her. Her last call to me was deeply moving. It was shortly before she had to move out to be taken care of by a family member. She said, "Do you still love me?" I replied, "Yes June, of course I do!" I will never forget her.
