Condolences

Condolence From: Lydia Chiasson (nee Hollis)
Condolence: So sorry that I couldn't be there to celebrate Al's life. Al was truly a "good egg" and will be sadly missed. My condolences to Marg, Val and Ang (and Rick and Ian and Sara). Al, thank you for sharing your intelligent and witty humour, your unconditional kindness and for teaching me how to ride a motorcycle. Love and best fishes.

Condolence: So many stories for a one of a kind character and so many memorable adventures.
Al, you were possibly the original "Most Interesting Man in The World."

Condolence From: Fred Oliff
Condolence: Al, so many treasured memories, from the days on Lake Huron when we were 'stranded' at Howdenvale and Oliphant on the McKee. Sharing a berth on the Griffon at Parry Sound, when I 'forgot' to wake you up and your boat was hanging over the side only for you to show up in sandals and a cigarette dangling out of your mouth. Stories of motorcycle trips to Central America in the winters off. And the adventures during the ice storm at the Coast Guard College. "Free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty, we are free at last", Martin Luther King. You'll be missed, mate!

Condolence From: Dave Willis
Condolence: Al was one the best, interesting and intelligent people I've ever worked with. His kind and caring nature was one quality he possessed. Although his debilitation seemed overwhelming at times for most of us he always had a smile and a humorous quip which always lit up a room. His love of British comedy was always the forefront of our many conversations. His love for music, interesting books and motorcycles was beyond most people's comprehension. His intellect was and always will be his legacy for the many he'd touched over the years. He will be sorely missed by us all.
