Obituary for Anthony "Tony" Bedini

Anthony "Tony" Bedini
BEDINI, Anthony “Tony”

Passed away peacefully at The Carpenter Hospice with family at his side on July 19, 2017 in his 90th year. Loved husband of the late Sheila (Galloway) for over 50 years. Predeceased by daughter Cathy and brother Gino. Survived by children Dave, Sue St. Pierre (Dan) and Chris (Debbie), and grandchildren Carly, Megan and Matthew. Will be deeply missed by companion Vivian McLean and family. Tony was a building contractor in Burlington for over 50 years and has left a legacy of construction projects in the area. Tony was a past president and proud life member of the Burlington Optimist Club. He served on Burlington city council as an alderman from 1979 to 1985. He never really retired and in later years became known as the "bicycle" man of Beaver St. Many years and special memories with family and friends at the family cottage in Honey Harbour will never be forgotten. Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333, on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm, where a Service of Remembrance will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 10:30am. Reception at the Halton Naval Veterans Association (2444 Industrial St, Burlington) immediately following the service. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to The Carpenter Hospice or Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated.
