SMITHSON, Paul Robert
Passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at The Carpenter Hospice on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the age of 73. Survived by his loving wife, Linda (nee Hickingbottom). Cherished father to Kirk (Jane), Erin Crossman (Adrian Vogt), and Kari Smithson (Ulrich Hammel). Proud grandfather to Erika, Simone, Liam, Dylan, and Avalon. Survived by loving sister Deanna (Keith) Reese. Dearly missed by sisters-in-law Janice Hickingbottom, Susan Hickingbottom, extended family and friends, also missed by Peter Crossman. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Joseph Brant Hospital and an extended thank you to The Carpenter Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. A Memorial Gathering will take place at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. Private cremation has taken place. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Canada or The Carpenter Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
