Obituary for Pasqualino Di Giovanni

It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Pasqualino at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with ALS. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 49 years, Giulia, who was always by his side, caring for his every need during this difficult time. Loving and devoted father of Debbie Best (Dave), Luigi Di Giovanni (Maria), Patricia Giannini and loving son-in-law Michael. Cherished Nonno of Daniel, Julia, Matthew, Julian, Brianna, Alessio and Chiara. Predeceased by his parents Luigi and Ersilia Di Giovanni and in laws Giovanni and Savina Sestili. He will be sadly missed by his dear sister Rina Di Stefano (the late Antonio). Twin brother of Suora Eugenia, Gemma Sirimarco (the late Gaspare), the late Ugo Di Giovanni (Pina), the late Adriana Di Simone (the late Antonio), Mauro Di Giovanni (Filomena) and Goffredo Di Giovanni, all of Italy. Brother-in-law of the late Giuliano Sestili (Elide), Mario Sestili (Maria) and Elena DeMurtas (Gino). Pasqualino will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews, especially Nancy and Fernando Sgreccia, Rita Mule and Sabrina Lucidi (Carmen). He will also be missed by his dear cousins and friends. Special thank you to his amazing neighbours, the Arruda family, for always being there, from mowing the lawn and clearing the snow to hanging goodies over the fence. Our dad truly appreciated all that you did. Thank you to Dr. Turnbull and his compassionate team and the wonderful and caring PSWs. Respecting his wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 304 Highway #8, Stoney Creek on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 10a.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Pasqualino are asked to please consider the ALS Society or a hospice of your choice.
