HUNTER, Frances “June” (nee Hilton) -
Passed away peacefully at Billings Court Manor in Burlington on Saturday, July 1, 2017, shortly after her 90th birthday. Predeceased by loving spouse William “Bill” Hunter (1995). Cherished mother of Michael Hunter (Brenda), Cathy Kelly (John), and John Hunter (JoAnne). Devoted grandmother of Peter, Michelle (Roger), Allanah, Rebecca, Jacqueline, Shannon, Daniel (Jessica), Ryan, Christopher, and Brandon. Proud great-grandmother of Eden, Jackson, and William. June will also be missed by many extended family and friends. June dedicated her early years in the orthopedic surgical unit at the General Hospital as head nurse. Her love of gardening, boating and animals kept the household busy. June was also an avid fan of football. June always had a great wit about her and was loved by many people in her lifetime. She will always be remembered for her lively spirit, kindness toward others and great sense of humour. Special thank you to the staff, nurses, and doctors at Billings Court Manor for the excellent care provided. Cremation has taken place. A Private Interment will be held for family and friends at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. If desired, as an expression of sympathy, donations in June’s memory to Animal Adoptions of Flamborough would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
