Obituary for June Marie "Grzygocki" Lannigan

nee Grzygocki

Peacefully with her family by her side at the Bob Kemp Hospice on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the age of 82. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, Hank Lannigan (December 30, 2013) and son James Lannigan (January 2, 1996). Loving mother of Lorri Cifani, Gary Lannigan (Dao) and Christine Coulthard (Michael). Cherished grandmother of Michelle (Quincy), Amanda (Kevin), Justin, Michael (Vanessa) and Catherine and great grandmother of Rori. June is survived by her brother Stan Gregory (Joyce) and sister Bernice Arnold (the late Bill). Predeceased by siblings Eddie Gregory (the late Vera) and Charlie Gregory (the late Anne). She will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. June had no doubt that she was surrounded by angels and her faith in God gave her bravery and grace to embrace her last journey home. June wanted to thank all of the nurses and doctors involved in her care at St. Joe's Hospital. She often spoke about how lucky she was to be cared for so wonderfully. The family wants to especially thank Nurse Mary at Bob Kemp Hospice for helping mom during her final struggles. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Sunday from 5-8p.m. Vigil prayers 7p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 934 Highway #8, Winona on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of June are asked to please consider the Bob Kemp Hospice.
