Obituary for Norman Henry "Norm" Underwood

UNDERWOOD, Norman Henry (1926-2017) RAF WWII

We announce the passing of Norm at the Waterford Long Term Care Residence on Monday, June 12, 2017 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Maggie (nee Simons). Dear father of John, Phil (Sheree), Chris (Edith) and Mark (Lauren). Cherished grandfather to Carrie, Courtney, Kim, Grace, Peter, Logan, Tristan, Curtis, Laura, Paul and Gemma and great-grandfather of Jaxon and Ethan. Loving brother to Joyce Clayton of England, the late Sydney Underwood and the late Ted Underwood. Thank you to all of the caregivers at the Waterford for all of their care. Serving his country as a Glider Pilot with the RAF in the British Army during WWII, Norman also served as a long time member and was Grand Master for the Masonic Lodge in England. He and his wife moved to Canada shortly after his retirement and has since then lived in the Burlington/Oakville area. He will be greatly missed by many friends and family. A Service of Remembrance will be at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 1371 Elgin Street, Ontario (905-634-1826) on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm with a reception to follow. For those who wish, donations in memory of Norm may be given to the Toronto Sick Kids Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
