Bond, Peter Charles (November 28, 1950 to June 8, 2017). Born in Montreal, Quebec to the late Sidney and Eileen Bond. Peter left us Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the age of 66. After a long battle with progressive supranuclear palsy, he he is finally at rest. Peter leaves behind his wife Diane (née Forget), his daughter Kimberley (Asterix), son Gregory (Grace) and his beloved grandchildren Owen, Alice, Colin, and Kiera. He is survived by his mother Eileen (née Richards), his sister Marilyn (Frank), and his brothers Michael (Danièle) and Timothy (Antonella). Peter enjoyed a long and successful career with New Holland (farm and tractor equipment) which saw him oversee the company's Nascar sponsorship, a project that he was passionate about. After retiring from New Holland, he became a Subway franchisee, owning several stores in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Peter loved playing his favourite Beatles songs on the guitar, working away in the garden, golfing with his son, and the annual family vacations to Ocean Park, Maine, a tradition that carried over from his childhood. He will be remembered for his sense of humour, his fierce intelligence, and for loving his family above all else. A celebration of life will be held July 8th, from 1-4pm, at Wellington Square United Church, 2121 Caroline St., Burlington, Ontario.
