Obituary for Father Thomas Alfred Cresswell

Lately of Grimsby, formerly from Jordan and Toronto, Father Tom passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby, aged 88 years. Forever with the Lord. His loving wife, Alison (nee Peters), predeceased Tom in 1990. Loving Father and Father-in-law of Barbara and Brian, Margot and Giorgio, Linda and Bob, Gregory and Lynn, Steven and Sara Jane. Grandfather to 7 cherished grandchildren: Jennifer, Denise, Mario Thomas, Stephan, Adam, Jared and Brooke and to 3 precious great-Grandchildren: Jasmin, Sabrina and Jake. Brother and Brother-in-law to Pauline and Jack (D), Raymond (D) and Rita and Sr. Frances. Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was a family and businessman, dedicating service to his church, first as deacon for 19 years then as priest for 24 years after the death of his beloved Alison. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers 7:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Private cremation and inurnment to follow at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions to Wells of Hope, St. Catharines would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
