Condolence: Howard was a man of great integrity and who's love for his community never waivered. His service to Grimsby shone through his volunteer work , fire fighting and as a Grimsby Alderman. He was my hero and mentor who was always encouraging and supportive. His wonderful smile and hugs will be missed. Howard exuded love for his family and his community . Condolence: My deepest sympathies to the Clausen family on Howard's passing.

I have many happy memories of Howard with our various chats at the gas station while getting my car serviced or getting gas. He always greeted everyone in a way that you knew at that moment, he was giving you 110 percent of his attention. When asked how he felt, he often said "110 %".

I am also very thankful for his 'watching out' for my mother in her later years as he did for many a Grimsby resident.

His kindness and caring will long be remembered and was a hallmark of our town.

He was the consummate community supporter, whether on the front lines with the Fire Department, at Church, or working in the background at just about any function or event, Howard helped make Grimsby a great place to live. He always had a smile ready, and was a gentleman to all. May he rest well.
