CURRIE, Robert Gardner “Bob” -

Passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the age of 85. Loving husband of Ida Currie (nee Graham) for 61 years. Devoted father of the late Graham Currie, Diane Hope (Norman), Philip Currie (Mae Sohn), and Geoff Currie (Sandra). Cherished Papa of Sean Currie (Charmaine), Jason Kaszycki (Monica), Travis Kaszycki (Andrea), Garret Kaszycki, Ryan Currie, Jessica Currie, Justin Hope and Sarah Hope-Peressotti (Sean Peressotti). Loving great-grandfather of Jordan Currie, Vivian Kaszycki, Evelyn Kaszycki, Claire Kaszycki, and Kennedy Peressotti. Dear brother of the late Jim Currie (Miriam) and Liz Baxter (Billy). Bob will also be missed by extended family and numerous friends, and will always be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit. In heavenly love abiding. Special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Joseph Brant Hospital for the excellent care provided. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 4-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 10:30am. Reception to follow. Private cremation with a family interment in Mississauga to take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Bob’s memory to The Salvation Army or The Canadian Diabetes Association would be sincerely appreciated.
