Raymond was the loving father of Dwayne (Mary-Jane) and Nicholas (Karen). Much loved Grand-Dad to Megan (Adam), Daniel, Matthew, Kylie and Noah. Raymond is survived by his mother Dorothea Ona Mendonca and predeceased by his Step-Father Joseph Mendonca and by his Father and Step-Mother, Gerald and Leila Martins. Loving brother of the late Patricia McConnell (the late Richard), Gerry (Junior) Martins (Yvonne), Mary Roberts (Stewart) and Fiona Willison (David). Also, survived by his former wife Jacqui Martins.
Raymond was born in October 1939 and raised in Georgetown, British Guyana. He spent many years working for Barclay’s Bank throughout the Caribbean, which took him to Belize where his son Dwayne was born and Monserrat where his son Nicholas was born. After a stay in Barbados, the young family immigrated to Canada in May 1972 settling in Brampton, ON. Raymond joined Scotiabank where he had numerous managerial roles over the course of his career. In later years, Raymond relocated to Burlington to be closer to his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them on a regular basis.
