Peacefully at the Joseph Brant Hospital on Monday, May 1, 2017 at the age of 89. Predeceased by his beloved wife Eva Kovacs (nee Strifler, May 21, 2007). Loving father of Frances Kovacs and cherished grandfather of Jesse Kovacs. Special thank you to Dr. Reimer and the staff at Joseph Brant Hospital/Cancer Clinic for their care and compassion. As per Andrew’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial Gathering will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 4-7p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in his memory are asked to please consider the Canadian Cancer Society.
