It is with profound sadness that we announce that Victor Jose Pinto Pegado passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in Burlington, Ontario on April 26, 2017.

Son of Dr. Francisco da Costa Pegado and Dr. Doroteia Vila Flor Pinto Pegado

Survived by his wife, Vivette, his sons, Dr. Victor Pegado Jr., and Dr. Vance Pegado; grandchildren Gabrielle, Evan and Nathaniel Pegado; sister, Angela Pires (Canada) and brother, Dr. Fernando Pegado (Portugal).

Born in Goa, he studied and worked in London, England before moving to Canada in 1966. He helped establish the Electronics department at Mohawk College, Hamilton, where he worked for 39 years.
