Obituary for Jane Begg (Ashley)
BEGG, Jane (nee Ashley)
Peacefully and surrounded by family, in her home on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the age of 74. Jane will be missed by her loving husband Cam, and daughters Carrie (Nick) Fanai, and Sarah (Daryl) MacDonald. Adored grandmother to Carson, Damon, Emmitt, Miller, and Wesley. Cherished sister of Jim (Beth), and Ann (Don). Jane will be dearly missed by extended family and friends. The family is thankful for the kindness of loved ones, friends, and neighbours. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and everyone who cared for and supported Jane. Jane was an avid gardener and lover of beautiful flowers. A Registered Nurse for over 30 years at McMaster Hospital, Jane also loved to travel and was an enthusiastic movie goer. A Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 12 – 1 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will take place at 1 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place, private interment at Woodland Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
