Peacefully at Sunset Manor, Collingwood, on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, John, formerly of Burlington, and Saskatchewan, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Fennechien “Fennie” (nee Sloots). John will be sadly missed by his loving companion Jean Fish and her family, David, Dennis, Ivan, Wayne and Sandra. He will also be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and their families in Saskatchewan and Alberta and his friends in Burlington. He is predeceased by his siblings; Fred, Ann, Lena and Louise. John retired from Stelco after many years of service. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333 on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 12 noon until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Burlington.
