It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill on Friday, April 14, 2017 in his 93rd year. Loving husband of 70 years to Pat (nee Spring). Beloved father of Marg (Bill), Ken (Linda), Don, Glenn, and Cathy (Mark). Papa to Kelly (Mike), Aaron, Cohen, Cooper, and Everett. Great-Papa to Connor and Olivia. Brother-in-law to Jim (Helen) Spring and the late Earl Spring. Uncle bill will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Bill served in RCAF in WWII, 6th Bomber Command, 424 Tiger (Hamilton) Squadron, stationed in Yorkshire, England. He flew in the Lancaster Bomber and completed 30 operations before the war ended. He was a long-time member and volunteer at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Mount Hope. As per Bill’s request no visitation or memorial service will be held. The family would like to extend their gratitude to family and friends for all their love and support. In memory of Bill, donations can be made to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.
