It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Alan at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, on Sunday, April 16th, 2017, at the age of 90. Alan was the beloved husband of high school sweetheart, Vivian (2015). Loving father of Brent (Diane) and Jane (Brian). Proud Grandfather of Sarah (Chris), Erin (Paul), Christine (Darren), Sean (Erin), Kevin and Steven. Great-Grandfather (GG) to Jack, Ellie, Henry, Gavin, Theresa and Annabel.

Alan had great pride in John Deere, where he had a long and illustrious career. In his youth he was an avid and exceptional athlete, excelling in basketball, hockey and football. His long term passion was golf where he will be remembered for his exceptional play and being a pleasure to play with.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Garland and the staff of Joseph Brant Hospital Emergency and 5 South for their kindness and care. Thanks are also extended to Dr. Comeau and his staff and Colleen and her staff at Mount Royal IDA for their long term care and support.
