Condolence: Thank you, Murray, Steve and Lynn for helping this man out.

I met Ken back in 1979, in Niagara, the old Welland Area, Ontario Hydro, when the Corporation was preparing the area for a change over to make the utility city owned.

I remember going down to Welland from Dundas to change equipment over on a 1975 Ford / cab over , gas job Digger, and Ken was there to move the truck, to Beamsville or the Creek (Stoney Creek) area.

He was quite the guy, semi mechanic as most Linemen are, right in there helping me changeover the Digger head and anchor drive.

My opinion of Ken, on that day in 79, is still the same today, and I lost contact with him, about 4 years ago, when I retired, " Ken said it, how it was, and when he said it, it was for real! If he liked you, a friend for life!

Ken, when he was in the hiring hall, Lines Projects, he would always drop around the shop to see me, and forever be pulling something out of his pocket, "would you have a bolt or something that would fit this, or can you weld this up or for that matter I can weld it myself he would say'. I kind of looked forward to seeing him actually, always a new project!

I was fortunate to see the second generation come into Hydro, as I have seen many of my pals kids come on board, made me feel good and relive my youth, Jason came on, Lines Trade, journeyman, Dundas Area a little rambunctious, however channelled in the right direction a good man, I always talked about his Dad (Ken) to him.

Always, that was important to me, and important for Jason.

Your ok, Ken, a true Lines Trade / Lineman veteran of "The Hydro", Ontario Hydro, Niagara Region.

Jimmie

Condolence: Dear Tommy, John and Susan, I'm so sorry to hear about Ken. This is such a shock for me,I didn't know about his health conditions. I have so many memories of him going back to when we were all kids. He was such a loving, generous spirit and family meant everything to him. I'm in England now and fly home on May 5. If at all possible I'll be at the service.

Love to you all, Darlene

Condolence: I knew Ken through the Steel City Sports Divers and we both worked for Hydro One and would run into each other. I was very sorry to hear of his passing. I have fond memories of camping weekends with him and club members. He was always very warm, fun to be with, and full of life and good humour. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. He's gone far too young.
