Passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, on Friday, April 14, 2017 in his 83rd year. Dennis was the beloved husband of Maureen for 59 years. Loving father of Michael (Eileen) and the late Erin (2016). Proud grandfather of Bronwen and Riley. Dennis spent his working career as a CPA in Hamilton. He will be remembered as an avid golfer and devoted fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Dennis was a long-time parishioner and volunteer at St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church in Burlington, and a member of the Knights of Columbus for many years. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 3-6 PM. Vigil Prayers for Dennis at 4:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church, 4072 New Street, Burlington, on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11 AM. Reception to follow at the church. For those who wish, donations in memory of Dennis to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
