Obituary for George Ronald "Ron" Ellerbeck

George Ronald "Ron" Ellerbeck
George Ronald Ellerbeck, passed away April 8th, 2017 on 4:07 PM at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. Ron was surrounded by his family, Anne and Chris during his last few moments. Loving husband of Anne Ellerbeck (nee Mitchell), father of Christopher John, brother of Sharon Clarke (nee Ellerbeck) and brother-in-law Thomas Clarke. Ron pre-deceases his step-father, Shannon Shapiro of Hamilton, Ontario.
Ron was uncle of Amanda Mitchell, brother-in-law to Robert Mitchell (Anne's brother) and sister-in-law of Laura Mitchell (nee Capra). Longtime employee of The Home Depot, Ron loved sharing his knowledge of construction and building techniques with all of those around him and greatly enjoyed the comradery and friendship of all those he worked and interacted with. In lieu of a service, the family would prefer a donation in his name be made to the Burlington / Hamilton SPCA; he would want his last act to be that of love for the animals of the world that created such joy in his life. Please forward all condolences and well-wishes to WeWontForgetYouRon@gmail.com.
Though times in his life were tumultuous he should be remembered as a man whom deeply loved and cared for, and about everyone around him, and always did his utmost to demonstrate this thoughtfulness whenever possible.
You deserved more time in your new home, beginning the next chapter of your life, untimely doesn't begin to describe your departure. This world (especially Jeopardy) isn't the same without you Ron. We hope you’ve finally found peace in the next life surrounded by the airplanes, radios and old cameras you loved so dearly. You will be forever missed by your many family and friends, most especially your darling wife Anne and son Chris.
