We are all saddened by the unexpected passing of Michael at Hamilton General Hospital, on Monday, April 3, 2017, at the age of 55. Beloved husband of Irene (nee Mackanyn). Loved father of Samuel (Teresa) and Emily. Dear son of Joanne Queripel and the late Eric Queripel and brother of Glen Queripel and David Queripel (Fenish). Son-in-law of Stefan and Polly Mackanyn and brother-in-law of Doris DeSantis (George), Andy Mackanyn (Judy) and Morris Mackanyn (Catherine). Loved uncle of Christopher (Heather), Nicholas and David DeSantis, Meredith and Jennifer Queripel and Ashley Milani. Mike will also be missed by many other extended family members and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Ainsworth, Nurse Dani and all of the staff at Hamilton General Hospital CCU for all of your care. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Mike's life will be held at Liuna Gardens, 526 Winona Road, Stoney Creek, on Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 2 - 5 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
