GREEN, Joan Marie (nee Halliwell)-
After a lengthy illness, passed away peacefully at The Carpenter Hospice, Burlington, surrounded by her family, on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the age of 63. Beloved wife of John for 42 years. Loving mother of Thomas Green (Norma), Sarah Jean Wright, and Joanne Zbicinski (Artur) all of Burlington. Cherished Grandma of Edith and Harvey Wright and soon to be born baby Zbicinski. Dear sister of Bill and Lea Halliwell, Mississauga, Beverly Nicholls and Jerry Aubin, Hamilton, Gerry and Valerie Halliwell, Burlington, Ron and Jenny Halliwell, Glenwood Springs, Colorado, David Halliwell and Pat Richard, Hamilton, Sharon Halliwell, Burlington, Shirley and Blake Hasey, Hamilton. Pre-deceased by her loving parents Alma and William Halliwell and beloved brother Bob Halliwell. She will be sadly missed by her nephews and nieces, family and friends. Joan was a Nurse at Joseph Brant Hospital for many years. Cremation has taken place. At Joan’s request a Celebration of her life will be held at the Royal Botanical Gardens (Royal Court/Ballroom), 680 Plains Road West, Burlington on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 2-5 p.m. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Carpenter Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
