JONES, Richard Macrae
Passed away at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the age of 85. Survived by loving wife, Gladys (nee Blackwell). Cherished father to Simon (Sybille), David (Sharon), Susan (William) Smith, and Robert (Leigh Ann). Proud grandfather to Sarah, Helen, Benjamin, Philip, Megan, Griffith, and Gage. Survived by sister Dorothy and brother Victor. Richard will be dearly missed by extended family and friends. Richard served with the RAF. An avid and competitive golfer, Richard worked with CP Air and after retiring he became involved in the golf business and industry. A special thanks to Dr. Peter Margetts and the staff at the Peritoneal Dialysis Clinic in Stoney Creek. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church, 2464 Dundas St, Burlington on Wednesday, April 5 at 11 a.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers donations to The Kidney Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
