Obituary for Klaus Warner Wartenberg

After a lengthy battle with cancer, Klaus Warner Wartenberg passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the McNally House Hospice in Grimsby, at the age of 82. He is survived by his beloved wife, Stefanija Wartenberg (nee Podgorelec), daughter Monica Wartenberg, step-daughter Sylvia Grah-Battersby, step-son Dorian Grah and his wife Deborah, and three granddaughters; Claire Battersby, Isabella Grah and Nadia Grah. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. D. Marshall and her West Lincoln Palliative Care team and the McNally House Hospice where Klaus received exceptional care from all the staff and volunteers. Many thanks to his family doctor, Dr. A. Grice, the St. Catharine's Walker Family Cancer Clinic, the Juravinski Cancer Centre and the nurses from St. Elizabeth's. A grateful thank you to all our dear friends for their support and love during this difficult journey. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. The family would appreciate, in lieu of flowers, any memorial donations be made to McNally House Hospice, Grimsby.
